OK. When it comes to main courses, puddings and knitwear, as far as I’m concerned, you can bring on winter as soon as you like. But as far as cocktail time is concerned, this little summertime beauty hits the spot well into October.
1 measure Gin
1 measure Morgan’s Spiced Rum
1 measure Amaretto
1 measure Cointreau
1/2 measure White Rum
Mix all the spirits and pour over lots of ice into a tall glass. How much you use depends on how strong you want it. Top up with orange, grapefruit and pineapple juice. Garnish with fruit.
Beware of how innocent it tastes.
Have been looking round your site for inspiration and this looks lovely! I haven’t got all the ingredients but on my list to try next. I’ll let you know what I think.
This is one of my husband’s recipes and it is fab. I haven’t had one this summer though as it is so potent!! I take no responsibility for any giddiness caused!
That’s why I love a good cocktail sooo much more than a glass of wine.
Just makes me think of that cheesy Alan Jackson song, ‘Five o’clock somewhere’, because it is so summery. Enjoy!
I’m back! With Amaretto! And oh my this is delicious. I’ve never combined orange and almond flavours before but I’ll be doing it again! Thanks for the recipe.
Hooray! You liked it AND you survived – double bonus! Thanks for letting me know. Chin chin!
